About the author

DAVID MEIKLE is a business and marketing consultant, agency intermediary and author, and has been described as one of the world’s leading thinkers in advertising and marketing operations.

David’s first book How to Buy a Gorilla provided the first comprehensive model to reconcile the conflicts between marketing, procurement and advertising agencies and has received widespread critical acclaim.

Prior to founding his consultancy business in 2009, David held senior positions at Grey and Ogilvy &Mather in London, as well as Group Managing Director of Ogilvy Russia during the BRIC economic boom of the early 2000s.

David rebranded his business The HTBAG Company after his book in 2017 and now delivers marketing transformation, pitch management, process design and relationship management.

David lives in Bodicote, Oxfordshire with his wife Olga, his son Daniel, two whippets, Molly and Pip, and a couple of chickens.
